In this day and age of social media and instant access to news and reviews 24 hours a day, can any food preparation or serving establishment run the risk of hitting the headlines and receiving bad reviews putting their reputation at risk. For us ‘oldies’ who remember life before social media and access to the internet (yes – there was life before and wouldn’t we all just love to throw the smartphone in the bin sometimes?), if you had a bad meal/or experience at a restaurant/takeaway, you may have told 10 or so people about this. But now this can become viral within 10 minutes!
That said, we consumers would like to have the piece of mind that we are not going to be joined by an ‘unwelcome guest’ at our restaurant table or that these little pests have had some input into the preparation of our meal! So the ‘Scores on the Doors’ are a great way for us to know that where we are eating at or ordering a meal from, is up to scratch. After all, none of us wants to be taking part in a ‘bush tucker’ challenge unknowingly! or as a restaurant/takeaway owner, subjecting customers to a ‘Bear Grylls’ style survival experience!
All that said, wherever/whatever you eat this weekend, have a great experience.
